  1. I’ve always considered myself reasonably informed when it comes to health – I follow the research, I read the labels, I make conscious choices. Or so I thought. This book humbled me in the best possible way. It revealed entire layers of the food industry, consumer psychology and everyday habits that I was completely blind to, despite thinking I knew better. The way it breaks down the concept of ultra-processed food — not just what it is, but how it’s designed to work on you – is genuinely eye-opening. And the practical tools it gives you aren’t overwhelming or preachy. They’re actionable, intelligent and surprisingly simple to implement. I walked away from this book not just better informed, but fundamentally sharper as a consumer and more honest with myself as a person. That combination is rare.

  2. I don’t use the word ‘life-changing’ lightly – but I’m not sure what other word fits here. This book didn’t just teach me about food or nutrition. It unravelled years of unconscious habits I didn’t even know I was carrying. What makes it truly exceptional is the author’s ability to combine deep scientific knowledge with genuine human warmth – she never makes you feel like a passive reader absorbing information. She makes you feel like an active participant in your own story. The moment I understood the connection between what I put into my body and how I show up in every other area of my life, something fundamentally shifted. I only wish I had found this sooner – and I’m endlessly grateful that I found it at all. This is not a book you read once and put away. This is a book you live with.
